In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“I can't believe that the the government would step in and do this to, you know, not just the candidates but to the voters in general.”
“It's almost an insurmountable uphill battle because now I've got to to retool a campaign to a new district mid cycle with only less than 60 days left. I mean, it's ridiculous.”
“This isn't any tit for tat or anything. This is just down to the brass tacks of disenfranchising 1.2 million people, and hopefully the federal courts will rectify this egregious ruling by the state Supreme Court.”
“I am glad that the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit has sent a signal about the importance of clearing up this confusion by scheduling arguments on the case for the coming week, and I hope that they will stand up to ensure Missouri voters have certainty that their ballots will be counted.”
“I am disappointed in the U.S. Supreme Court's decision earlier today, which would result in the disenfranchisement of Missouri primary voters and potentially set a dangerous precedent that could allow district changes between the primary and general elections in the future.”
“and I look forward to working with President Donald J. Trump to keep his America First agenda on track.”

“I just hate to see the direction our nation's going. I think we have great leadership under the administration, but we've got to have people who understand what's at stake and willing to fight for it. I'm a new grandfather. My granddaughter's almost 6 months old and just seen the trajectory. We've got to have people that are willing to save American for the next generation. So that's probably the biggest reason why I got into the race.”
“I spent six years as a United States Marine, and I've spent years in the Missouri Senate fighting for Missouri families. Now I'm ready to take that fight to Congress to help President Trump secure our border, restore energy independence, cut wasteful spending, and advance the America First agenda that puts hardworking Americans first.”
