I represented South and East Hillsborough Counties in the Florida house for six years and um then they redrew uh the district and they drew Kathy Caster into all of uh the old territory that I used to represent.” [04:26] “The fact is, I've supported the president back to 2015. • Mike Beltran · Running in a Competitive Race for Florida 14th District · The Cats Roundtable

Radio interview · The Cats Roundtable (77 WABC Radio) Excerpts from GOTV Intel's transcription: [01:40] “Well, thanks for having me on the show. Um, I'm I stand for limited government, separation of powers and individual liberty. I believe in the Constitution. I think we need to have a balanced budget and I represented Southeast Hillsborough County for six years in the Florida house and I voted against expansions of government, voted against bills that violated the Constitution, voted against some unfortunate expansion expansions of government and expansions of entitlement programs here notwithstanding that we're here in the free State of Florida, there were a few bad bills that came through and I voted against those and I would take, take the same approach in Washington whether it's my party or another party that's expanding government or wasting taxpayer dollars or infringing the Constitution or individual liberty, I'm going to stand up for those values against a legislature or a government or even colleagues who may be um maybe trying to infringe those fundamental values.” [03:12] “Yes, and you know, this particular house seat is the only Democrat held house seat on Florida's Gulf Coast and I think that's a travesty. I moved here 16 and a half years ago from New York and I don't think it should be held by a Democrat. This district as it's newly reconfigured went for Trump by 10 points. Uh so this is a seat that we absolutely need to flip this cycle in order to hold the house majority and that's exactly what we're out doing, getting getting our signs up, meeting with constituents. We got a great poll earlier this week and we're off to a really good start.”
