In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“We need to focus on the 80 percent of the issues that unite us. We need to be focused on bringing auto manufacturing back to my district. We need to make sure that we’re lowering costs across my district. They’ve just got a housing bill done that’s going to lower costs for Americans. Right now, the average age of first-time homebuyers is 40 years old. That means my friends and I can’t buy homes. We need to lower housing costs so all Americans can buy the home of their dreams.”
“At end of the day, people in my district want this divisiveness to stop”
“It’s on everybody to say that political violence has no place in America”
“The Army taught me that weak leadership has consequences and I’m ready to lead America back.”
“I want to thank the voters of the 10th District for putting their faith in me”
“Under President Trump, I led missions on the southern border; back then we got the job done. But on day one, Joe Biden shut us all down; he opened the border”

“Most people outside Michigan don't fully grasp what we have here”
“Supporting farmers has always been a bipartisan effort, and it should stay that way”
“The army taught me to put the mission first and fight for the people beside me. That’s the standard I believe Michigan deserves in Congress, and I’m grateful for the early support that puts me in the position to serve our community.”
“I was more worried about what's going on in my home country than I was in a war zone.”
“The toughest people I know jump out of planes into battle, and so I think we need to send a paratrooper to D.C.”
“We make great things here in Michigan, and we need to keep it that way”
“I've worn the uniform of our nation and faced America's enemies abroad. Now I'm ready to fight for our people here at home — to keep our families safe, our jobs local, and help make our country strong again.”
“The people of Michigan deserve a warfighter in Washington who understands the mission and has the backbone to get the job done. Peace through strength isn't just a slogan to me – President Trump has led by example, and I look forward to helping him achieve lasting peace”
“My family taught me that service isn't a slogan, it's a duty”

Interview: Mike Bouchard on bringing lessons from the Army to his campaign
Written Q&A (published transcript) · Washington Reporter Excerpts from the outlet's published transcript (lightly edited by the outlet): “This time last year, I was in Iraq, and I remember I was watching Charlie Kirk’s assassination live.” “It’s on everybody to say that political violence has no place in America. We can have disagreements, but we can never attack each other physically.”
