In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“We need a national moratorium on data centers until we understand exactly how much energy, how much water and how much pollution, because all those things affect people every day. We cannot be passing on the cost of an old infrastructure problem because data centers are trying to ramp up so fast. The prices are being passed to everyday working people.”
“A lot of people have seen the erosion of democracy and due process. Right now, we need to work to make sure that working people across Tennessee's voices are heard. Right now, everything is unaffordable. Things will continue to skyrocket if we don't address the elephant in the room when it comes to being dependent on fossil fuels. When gas goes up, everything goes up, especially the things working people need.”
“My public service is rooted in the challenges facing working families and a commitment to giving Tennesseans a stronger voice in Washington. My priorities include affordable healthcare and housing, strong public schools, universal broadband, voting rights, fair electoral districts, climate resilience, environmental justice, and greater economic opportunity for every community.”
