In Their Words

What they have said, on the record

“I've been out to see these neighborhoods where data centers have been put right behind their fences, and you hear that low hum of the fans. That's 24/7.”

“I believe the voters of our district deserve a thoughtful response as to what that "R" represents to me and why I'm running to be your Republican candidate for Congress in VA-10.”

“As you know, China is a predatory country. They over-produce, and then they drop that material in countries and they wipe out entire industries.”

“I'd like to propose this idea for people who have been impacted by data centers: If you live within two miles of a data center, we ought to be giving some sort of tax break-a 50% tax break off either property taxes or your state taxes-and let them use that money to remediate the issues that they're having with data centers.”

“No congressman in this district should ever vote for a government shutdown. We should not be resolving our differences on the back of our civilian workforce and our military members.”

“It was actually some constituents going around this district that gave me this idea of a portable mortgage. A lot of people have really low mortgage rates, and so they're tied to that house because they don't want to sell and have to go into buy a new house for a higher mortgage. If you wanted to downsize, you'd be paying more. So my idea is take the mortgage you have and make it portable to the new house you buy. And what that does is it starts building supply. It starts building movement in the housing market.”
