In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“I will fight to stop corporations from buying single family homes as investments, protect first-time buyers, and bring housing costs down so the next generation gets their share of the American dream.”
“When I was diagnosed with cancer, the VA took care of me. That is exactly how it should work. Nobody should go without the care they need. I will hold insurance companies accountable, expand rural access, bring prescription drug costs under control, and push for a VA clinic where communities need one.”
“Right now, veterans across the 4th District drive hours for basic care. There is not a single VA clinic in Tooele, Sevier, Millard, or Sanpete counties. That is unacceptable for a district with Camp Williams, Dugway Proving Ground, and the Tooele Army Depot. The VA has lost over 40,000 employees, including thousands of nurses and doctors. Veterans need real advocates, not politicians who use them for photo ops.”
“The Marine Corps taught me what happens when you commit to something bigger than yourself. You see the mission and you go. While working families take a backseat, corporations become people and billionaires get bailouts. Politicians refuse to stand for the people who elected them while programs that keep families like mine afloat come under attack.”
“I signed up for the Marine Corps at 17. The oath I swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, never expired. That same commitment drives everything I do today.”
“Utah's 4th District has over 30,000 veterans, four military installations, and tens of thousands of military families. Veterans in rural counties like Tooele, Sevier, and Sanpete have no local VA clinic and drive over three hours to the Salt Lake VA for basic care. That is not a system. That is abandonment. Jonny is a combat veteran, a VA patient, and a cancer survivor treated by the VA. He knows what works and what fails because he has lived it. He will fight for local VA care, work to restore the nearly 100,000 VA staff this administration fired, remove Sec. Doug Collins, and protect veteran benefits from the rules Collins added. Marines do not leave anyone behind.”

“Families across Utah's 4th District are getting crushed by the cost of groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare. People are working two and three jobs and still falling behind. Rural communities are losing access to hospitals and clinics. Seniors are choosing between medication and rent. The system is not broken by accident. It is rigged to benefit corrupt corporations and billionaires at the expense of everyone else. Jonny will work hard for the people to bring down the cost of living, protect Medicare and Social Security, make home ownership possible again, and ensure healthcare is accessible to everyone. Nobody gets left behind.”
