In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“Growing up on a family farm in Pueblo and raising my two sons here shaped my belief that when people work hard, government should work just as hard for them. Before being elected, I worked in small business, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges facing local employers and working families. I ran for office to be a voice for Pueblo's farming community, small businesses, and families who too often feel overlooked, and in office I have worked to advance legislation that promotes economic development right here in Pueblo.”
“I proudly represent Pueblo in the Colorado House of Representatives, now serving my second term, because I believe our community deserves leadership rooted in hard work, family, and real-life experience.”
“One issue that doesn't get enough attention is the growing division in our communities and our politics. Too often, people are encouraged to see every issue as black and white, with one side completely right and the other completely wrong. Real life is more complicated than that.”
“My top priority is creating economic opportunity while preserving what makes Pueblo special. We need to attract new jobs and industries that give our young people reasons to stay, build careers, and raise families here. At the same time, we must support the small businesses, family farms, and local industries that have shaped our community for generations.”
“I am not a career politician. I grew up farming and helped operate a family farm, where I learned the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and community. I also spent 24 years in the automotive industry, working alongside small business owners and hardworking families who are the backbone of Pueblo's economy.”
