In Their Words
What they have said, on the record
“I have a strong desire to represent my neighbors in House District 50. It is where I grew up. It is my home.”
“I will continue to work with local governments, the construction industry and other stakeholders to bring forth legislation that makes home ownership more affordable for all.”
“I was the prime sponsor on HB 1033, dubbed the Tamale Bill, which expanded the Cottage Food Act and gave my constituents a legal path to selling home-cooked, temperature-controlled foods that were previously prohibited, resulting in more financial stability.”
“During my first two years representing HD50 I sponsored bills to address all of those issues. In 2025, I co-sponsored HB 1272, Construction Defects & Middle Market Housing, creating the multifamily construction incentive program, which gives builders additional protections from frivolous lawsuits. This year, I was the prime sponsor in the House on SB 053, which grants zero down payment assistance to first responders.”
“Growing up in House District 50 to immigrants who struggled to make ends meet, I understand my constituents battles just to put food on the table. Over the past several years, Colorado Democrats have passed bill after bill placing numerous regulations on the construction industry, raising the cost of construction that is passed onto the buyer. Democrats have also passed numerous bills over-regulating farmers and ranchers, raising the cost of groceries. Finally, Democrats continue to pass legislation that adds more and more fees to other goods and services and adding to the overall cost of living.”
